The tired Titans are triumphant as they hop a plane back to Southern California ending an eleven day road trip. The team played 8 games in eleven days and only fell in one game in that time, which is an excellent record for the road. The Titans have definitely been on a tear with their bats and we are hoping to see some of that action this coming Thursday through Saturday series against Oral Roberts at Goodwin Field.
It was a great day to be a Titan in Stillwater, OK today. The Titans, continuing their road trip, are spending the weekend in Stillwater, Oklahoma, playing in a tournament with the Rhode Island Rams and Oklahoma State Cowboys. The Titans played a double header, so had the opportunity to meet both teams on the field and walk away at the end of each game victorious.
The team apparently loves being on the road. After sweeping the Eagles, the team traveled on to College Station, Texas to take on the # 3 ranked Aggies of Texas A & M. The Cal State Fullerton Titans climbed to # 6 on Baseball America’s poll notching 4 wins last week. We expected a tight game between the two teams and were hoping that our team could hold on for the win.
Our beloved Titans hit the road this weekend, starting an 11 day trip in Hattiesburg, Mississippi where they took on the University of Southern Mississippi Eagles. The Eagles traveled to Goodwin Field to play the Titans for the first time last year, and we were able to complete a sweep of the Eagles then. While the team is looking stronger, since the opening series against TCU, it is always rougher to play on the road, especially on long road trips such as this. Apparently our boys liked Hattiesburg just fine. We completed the first sweep of the Eagles on their home field since 1996, so quite an accomplishment.
