Today is a banner day for me. I have received my FIRST video review. The review is of Nowhere Feels Like Home, the second book in the Misfit McCabe series.
When I attended the Orange County Children’s Book Festival, an excellently run event by the way, the group I shared the booth with decided to do an interview will all of the participating authors. Ultimately, we were supposed to be notified if the video turned out.
I came across this one via Twitter, where a friend of mine posted it. Sit back, close your eyes and enjoy. The hairs stood up on my arms while listening to this. And to think it is done a capella.
While this is not actually a book trailer, it is a promo which was done for accessorial products for a book called Whoever Heard of a Fird? by Othello Bach.
When ten-year-old Aaron moved from the big city to the middle of Amish country, he felt transported to a different and simpler time and place. But after finding a faded and long forgotten diary page of a boy gone missing over one hundred years earlier, Aaron began an adventure more wondrous and exciting than he could have ever imagined.
What’s more important? A perfect cup of coffee or a perfect date? Blaine-a photo taking, obsessive compulsive, coffee barista-steals money out of fountains and can’t find a date. Obsessed with the number 32, Blaine blames his lack in love as the reason for his habits. Everyday is timed and in sync to Blaine’s magic number! When his friend Sallie sets him up on a date, Blaine is convinced that Edward, the new love interest, will cure his compulsions. But when Blaine discovers they have nothing in common, complications ensue. Auden, an artsy tattooed coworker, tells Blaine about a local photo contest, so Blaine sets out to capture a winning snapshot. Just as Blaine thinks he has his illness beat, his unvarying world spirals out of control when he skips part of his daily routine, ultimately making Blaine realize that Mr. Right has been in front of him the whole time. Stealing Wishes, by Shannon Yarbrough, is a caffeinated romantic comedy with cream and sugar! Every reader will relate to Blaine’s obsessive outlook on life.
