When 14 year old Katie McCabe accidentally burns down a neighbor's shed, she thinks it is the worst day of her life. Little does she know it is only the beginning of bad things to come. Katie is devastated when her father becomes too ill to care for her. Angry with being sent to live with an uncle she doesn't know, Katie becomes determined to make Uncle Charley regret his decision to take her in.

Misfit McCabe represents LK Gardner-Griffie's first completed novel.  She has several other projects in the works and hopes to complete her next book launch in 2008.
