I’m jumping ahead a bit in my weight loss journey to current day. I’ve been trying to catch up to current and I’m almost there, but I am too excited to wait to share this information. I’ll be point blank honest. I hate taking pills. And taking them daily is something I don’t do well. Only under threat of serious complications by my doctor have I managed to successfully take my blood pressure medication over the last couple of years. Two weeks ago, I was thrilled when my blood pressure was low and we reduced the dosage because that meant to me that the end of taking this particular pill was in sight.
I had my recheck today to ensure the change in dosage was not a mistake and I was able to eliminate the blood pressure medication all together. That’s right. It has not even been a month since my lapband surgery and it is no longer necessary to take medication to control my blood pressure. I’m not sure who was more delighted – me or my doctor. I think I’m going to give the edge to myself as I was ready to do the happy dance, and while he was exceptionally pleased, it didn’t look like he was going to break into dance. Anyway, for me, this is a milestone day. . .one medication off the list.
