When Nowhere Feels Like Home is released, I am planning on re-releasing Misfit McCabe with a new cover. I have made the decision to re-release the book with the new cover to ensure that the series has a more common cover theme. To that end, I have had a few different covers made up and have been taking a straw poll to determine which cover has the most appeal for Misfit McCabe. So far, there is no clear winner, but I am hopeful that this upcoming weekend at the San Diego Children’s Festival of Books I’ll be able to elicit enough responses to make a final determination.
Addition to the post
Thanks to fellow author S. A. Hunter for pointing out that I didn’t have larger versions of the book covers so they could really be seen. The below should remedy that situation. Click the cover of your choice for a larger view.

LK, I like all the covers, but wish I could enlarge them to take a closer look. I like the one of the face close-up best, except I don’t like the sky background behind the title. I think it would work better if the photo extended to the top or if the background was a simple black.
Thanks – I thought I had a post somewhere with the (larger) images of all of them, but I can’t seem to find it. Did I dream that I posted them? Maybe I sent them in email. I’m updating the post (as soon as the upload finishes) with thumbnails that will link to the larger pics.
The close-up I’m still not happy with, but think it will be for a later book in the series, so I have more time to play with it.
Yay! Thanks for posting the image files. I really like the hitchhiker one too. The one with the sunglasses looks a little strange to me.
